The Walking Dead, Yesterday gruesome Death Scene

Daryl disorients the herd with another rocket launcher blast. But the walkers get him.

There's an epic slaughter on the streets: Everyone gets a whack at the zombies, with Rick, Carol, Gabriel, Michonne, Rosita, Tara - even Eugene - Eugene! - joining in the bloodbath. And so, for me, again, it wasn't coming from a place of, I'm going to deceive the audience.

The final moments of the episode saw Rick pour out his heart to Carl, hoping to see his son recover from his wound. Everyone was back in Alexandria, and the group is bigger and stronger than ever. His doubts have been put to rest. I want to make it a reality for you.

Carl has always been more attached to his father on TV, showcasing a bit of rebellion here and there.

Me? I'd have slapped her around like a red-headed stepchild until she got a grip and/or shut the fudge up with the whining. "I thought maybe I'd be on the show for, like, a couple of years".

Pointless warning: There shall be spoilers. In the clip we see Daryl (Norman Reedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) encounter some of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) hostile men. "Nibble on that!" Abraham was on point all night.

Anyone else having a "Buffy" flashback? "Alexandria is overrun. Rick and the kids are all covered in guts trying to get through the crowd". Not before he shoots Carl, however, in the eye! Fortunately, this is not the end of Carl, as his squeeze of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) hand at the end showed that he's going to live to fight another day. Amid the melee a gunshot fires, (6) hitting Carl in the eye. He can't shake Jessie. But soon Ron is pointing his gun at the two of them, ready to seek revenge for his family's death, I guess. Yeah, Alexandria was overrun with walkers, and Denise was kidnapped by Wario the evil wolf, but it was just a lot of scene-setting, in retrospect, and there was nowhere near the level of surprise deaths or explosions we've been treated to in previous midseason finales.

The actor promises big things for fans of the apocalyptic show! It was so much utter chaos my body was shaking, and it only heightened as the crew found themselves walking through hordes of walkers in the dark, yes people, in the dark.

Meanwhile, Denise (Merritt Wever) forms a (7) bond with her evil captor Wolf (Benedict Samuel), who ends up (8) saving her from zombies.

Carol and Morgan are complete opposites. It took what seemed like an eternity before we eventually found out Glenn's fate after he fell into a stampede of zombies.

This is it! There's no way out! Glenn runs into trouble while attempting to save Maggie. And will Negan have something to do with changing that?
