Arsene Wenger confirms Mustafi and Perez signings

The Gunners are poised to announce the completion of a £17.1million deal for Deportivo La Coruna hitman Perez, who underwent a medical at the north London club on Friday. The Gunners suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the first match, while settled for a goalless draw against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Toffees were closing in on a deal - but Arsenal have now declared a late interest in the striker known as Lucas. Let us know by dropping a comment below via our Facebook comment box.

"I think they should go through, both of them", he said.

"I believe a club like ours is focused on giving chances to the players we develop in our own club".

Everton are still hopeful that they will be able to finalize the deal with Lucas Perez Martinez, but Arsenal are desperate to sign a striker this summer and see the player as a flawless alternative to their missed target Jamie Vardy. Not a lot has happened.

Arsenal were then unable to reach an agreement over a fee for Toprak, who is rated as one of the Bundesliga's most consistent defenders, with Leverkusen so renewed their attempts to land 24-year-old Germany global Mustafi.

"It looks like it will be frenetic for me in the last three days".

Their 27-year-old attacking target, known commonly as Lucas, has emerged as a top target for Arsene Wenger as he looks to add to his ranks before the transfer window closes next week. Everybody has sat on their pounds until now. We have a good little break now and we can help them to join the squad.

"We don't just want Mesut to give assists - we want him to score too, so I'm very happy", he said.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi have joined Arsenal after completing their medicals but paperwork will delay the official announcement until next week.

"We then had two hard away games but today I believe we had a good solid performance".
