Hernandez To Aston Villa Today?

In other news, Aston Villa are set too miss out on summer transfer target Jonathan Kodjia with Hull City set to make a bid for the Bristol City striker, according to the Telegraph, with the Ivorian thought to be a potential replacement for Hernandez, should he eventually leave.

The Sun says Villa are offering a huge Championship-record £20million for Hull striker Hernandez.

Hull are expected to offer £10m plus add-ons for the 26-year-old Ivory Coast worldwide, who scored 20 goals in the Championship last campaign.

Despite these social media claims and redtop reports Sky Sports has today said a KCOM Stadium exit isn't something we're expecting to happen with the 26-year-old Uruguayan global at "this stage" of the window.

After Aston Villa's charismatic owner Tony Xia expressed that Aston Villa was in the market for a "world class number 9", it quickly became established that Aston Villa was interested in Hull City's Abel Hernandez.

Villa, who have already made seven signings this summer so far, are targeting a striker and an attacking midfielder before the window closes on Wednesday as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first opportunity. Would you like to see Abel Hernandez join your club? Is Hernandez worth the astronomical fee that Villa seems to be willing to pay?
