'Bachelor in Paradise 3' couple Grant Kemp, Lace Morris break up

'Bachelor in Paradise 3' couple Grant Kemp, Lace Morris break up

Just four months after their engagement aired on the season finale of Bachelor In Paradise, Grant Kemp and Lace Morris have officially called it quits.

But that level of insane was also unsustainable in the real world they revealed as they opened up about their breakup in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Lace moved out of their San Francisco place a few days ago and is back in Denver. In her statement to ET, Morris implied that BIP interrupted her search for self-love. She says that the split was mutual and that they both have issues they need to address individually. She admits the chemistry is there and it feels like it should work, but for some reason it just isn't right now.

Grant and Lace took part in a ropes course to test their communication skills. "It was a cycle we couldn't break.I think he's an unbelievable man". And being in a fast-tracked TV relationship didn't help.

"I could only pray or hope that there is a future with us", said Morris, who has already moved back to Denver.

"I think the odds are definitely against us", he said. "But I know the person that she is". "It really was mutual", she said. But Lace has more work to do. To that end, she'll soon launch a blog called "The Lovely Lace' and continue sharing her journey".

Kemp agrees, adding that he has "a lot of respect" for Morris. "She's a great person", he said.

She added, "For a month, we were kind of starting to bicker, and it was a thing of, something's got to give".

They're saying basically everything I'd expect from two people who fell in love very quickly on reality television and then realized that path to love doesn't always work out, but that doesn't make it any less of a bummer. or change the fact that they are now just two single people with matching tattoos.

As for the engagement ring - reportedly worth nearly $100k and bought by production, NOT Grant - Lace says she's keeping it, unless producers demand it back. They had an instant connection, but Lace left Grant on the first night to pursue Chad Johnson. Lace would like to think there's potential for a reunion, while Grant doesn't believe there's a real chance of that happening. And after watching them find each other and fall in love last summer, it's nearly more sad to hear that these two insane kids just couldn't make it in the end. According to TMZ, Lace plans to keep her tattoo - which is located on her wrist - even after the split. Ink is forever, but love is not, it seems. It doesn't sound like they regret the relationship at all, but it has to be at least a little weird now, right? They lived together in San Francisco.
