Internet compares Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway to Paddington bear

"You have folks being here on a diatribe where I think they could have requested a dialogue", Conway said on ABC's "This Week."

This is what Conway would, I'm sure, call an "alternative fact".

Trump's failure to release his tax returns and officially cut ties with his business is going to be a major issue throughout Trump's first term. Conway was roused from her crypt in the morning to exchange pleasantries with NBC's Meet the Press. Trump has faced persistent questions about his tax returns and conflicts of interest because of his numerous businesses ties, something his returns might a shine light on if released as presidential candidates have done for decades. "But I frankly didn't see the point", Conway said of the march. I said Donald Trump acted unpresidential. While defending Mr. Spicer's inaccurate statement, the prez's counselor said the press secretary simply provided "alternative facts".

"Seventy-four present overall say [Trump] should release his tax returns; that includes 49 percent of his own supporters, as well as almost all of Clinton's (94 percent) and 83 percent of those who had another preference, or none".

Her comment is a marked shift from Trump's pledge during the campaign to make them public once an audit was completed. This is not a big deal nor was it the main emphasis of news coverage until the Trump Administration's over-the-top and ill-advised reactions made it a big story. Press secretary Sean Spicer backed up claims by Trump on Saturday, saying, "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration - period - both in person and around the globe".

ICYMI, President Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer told the American people that the Inauguration on January 20 had "the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period", a statement that was immediately disproved.

When asked about her colorful wool coat, she responded "Oh, it's just Gucci". An expert hired by the New York Times estimated the National Mall crowd for Trump's inauguration to be about a third of the size of Obama's.
