Colombia finishes 3rd in Miss Universe

Now, after 23 years, Sushmita is back in Manila to judge this year's Miss Universe pageant. While we did find ourselves rooting for Miss Haiti for much of the night because of the country's story, we know that at the same time, she is going to have many opportunities to tell her country's story in the weeks and months to come. Besides winning Miss Universe seven times, Venezuela has won Miss World six times, Miss International seven times and Miss Earth twice; whereas the United States has won Miss Universe eight times, Miss World three times, Miss International three times and although it's placed 10 times on Miss Earth, the U.S. has yet to win that particular crown.

Comedian Steve Harvey is hosting the event and model Ashley Graham is hosting it backstage, while Filipino-Hawaiian vlogger Bretman Rock will be the Miss Universe red carpet host.

Other questions included Miss Philippines being asked about significant changes in the past ten years, Miss Thailand about admiration for world leaders, and Miss Columbia about violence. After announcing her as the victor, the Family Feud star congratulated himself briefly on getting through it without any errors.

Miss Kenya: Politics is - okay, let me just start again. Did they bring back that guy from last year?' Well, they did. Yes, it's been nearly 23 years; we can't believe it either.

The authorities in Manila have joined forces to secure the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena ahead of the Miss Universe grand coronation on Monday. It is my home away from home.

I was recently asked, "What happened to you?"

After Harvey messed up last year's victor - he announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, instead of Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach - this year's Miss Colombia took a jab at the comedian. The very next day, I found that I was in a new book.

Are your daughters Renee and Alisah travelling with you?

My younger sister and I were raised by a single mother in Cagayan de Oro, a multi-ethnic environment and burgeoning city in the southern part of the Philippines that has earned the moniker "City of Golden Friendship". I don't have nannies running around my children looking after them.

I would have liked that, but this is an official visit.

"I think Kezia is the kind of young lady that they want as she would be a very respectable Miss Universe and I feel she will appeal to the judges and the general public as she is a very strong overall candidate".
