Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy Episode 1 trailer arrives

The next few weeks are going to be chalk-full of Guardians of the Galaxy!

The name comes from a 1975 Bob Dylan song; the Guardians of the Galaxy film and its upcoming sequel - which are unrelated to Telltale's video game series - are famous for their use of popular music from the 1970s and '80s.

In addition to tomorrow's digital release, a physical retail version of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series with a Season Pass is slated for release on May 2.

The series will feature a star-studded cast of voice talent, including Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot. The Guardians, in return, want the Nova Corps to clear their previous criminal records.

As seen below in the launch trailer for the game's first entry courtesy of IGN, after a very big battle that has occurred, the Guardians have managed to get their hands on an artifact that has untold amounts of power locked inside of it. Even the Guardians themselves aren't immune to the temptation that the artifact represents, and the players' choices throughout the game will determine the fate of the universe.

The first part of Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy adventure series will be available tomorrow, and that means we have a new trailer to look at today. The subsequent episodes of the season will be released throughout the rest of the year. Fire up the Awesome Mix and share your thoughts in the comment section below!
