Posh day at palace: Victoria Beckham gets royal recognition

We've always called Victoria Beckham fashion royalty (she's built herself an empire!), but now that title is (practically) official!

Last year, her label raked in £36.9m. Fashion designer Victoria Beckham, background centre, receives her OBE from Britain's Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London, Wednesday April 19, 2017.

The former Spice Girl, who turned 43 earlier this week, was recognized for her contribution to the retail industry.

'I'm so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband; without their love and support, none of this would be possible, ' she said.

But Posh Spice didn't let that potential faux pas get in the way of her big day at Buck House as she flashed Prince William a rare smile while he handed over the honour for her services to fashion and humanitarian work.

Beckham will be made an OBE by the Duke of Cambridge, just months after emails in which her husband complained about being snubbed for a knighthood were leaked.

She added, "If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things".

The couple now share four children together: sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12, as well as their daughter, Harper, 5. She chose a sheath dress and Philip Treacy pillbox hat both of her own design, while David accessorized his Ralph Lauren suit with his OBE pinned to his jacket lapel and a top hat.
