Banquet Chicken Nugget meals recalled for potential dessert contamination

Banquet Chicken Nugget meals recalled for potential dessert contamination

This came after a supplier told Conagra one ingredient used in the chocolate brownie mix, included in the ready meal, might be contaminated with Salmonella.

A recall has been issued for a frozen chicken nugget meal because the brownie dessert could be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall comes hot on the heels of another Conagra food safety scare.

The batch was produced on January 26, 2017.

If you've bought Banquet frozen meals with chicken nuggets, you will want to check the packaging before you serve them.

Affected are Banquet Chicken Nuggets with Mac & Cheese, in 7.4-ounce vacuum-packed trays with Code 3100080921 and a "BEST IF USED BY" date of July 20, 2018.

The USDA says there have not been any reports of illnesses from the brownies yet.

According to the FDA, healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
