Juventus shares rise 80% on Milan stock exchange after Barcelona's exit

Barcelona's hopes of making yet another Champions League comeback fell flat as Juventus held them to a goalless draw at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Juventus's shares rose sharply in early trading on the Milan Stock Exchange on Thursday morning, hours after qualifying for the Champions League semi-final, Reuters reported.

The veteran right-back was a long-time colleague of the Barcelona striker and was on hand to comfort his countryman.

"We showed great unity and solidarity".

Buffon admits the clean sheet in the second leg against Barcelona came as a surprise - and is the ideal boost the players need going into the crucial final month of the season.

Barcelona forward Neymar was consoled by former teammate Dani Alves, now playing for Juventus, after the final whistle while Barcelona's fans cheered their team despite the elimination. The Juventus defender was immediately reprimanded by Chiellini, who hit him on the arm to admonish him for relaxing for a few seconds, even with the job all but completed.

"If it had happened the other way, they would be sad for me".

The Champions League final takes place on 3 June (19:45 BST) at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. "I'm satisfied with what we're achieving but the onus is not on maintaining current form". "So now we can't relax at all, we have an important league match against Genoa on Sunday, we are in a key part of the season".

"The self-belief of the team has grown a lot", he said Allegri.

"Barca have a team built to compete, to win trophies and to face every challenge", said Enrique.

"Aside from our determination, which is traditionally part of the Juventus identity, we are becoming more "European" by pressing, proving unsafe in attack and controlling the game more than we did in previous years. Beating Barcelona gives us more assurances, which against other teams we wouldn't maybe have felt".

"Some of my Atletico-supporting friends have told me they would rather lose in the semi-finals than play Real Madrid in another final", Schuster told Marca.

"Who don't we want to meet in the semifinals?"
