Man United push Moyes Sunderland deeper into relegation

Jose Mourinho felt his Manchester United side were completely comfortable in their commanding victory over Sunderland on Sunday.

A 3-0 win for Manchester United at the Stadium of Light has left Sunderland 10 points off safety at the bottom of the English Premier League.

Since that landmark birthday, he has scored 250 goals in 308 appearances playing for Milan, PSG and United.

Twitter user @oibanji posted a short clip which showed Mourinho questioning the chant with a quizzical look on his face.

United lie fifth in the table, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who hold the final Champions League qualification spot, but with a game in hand. It resumes its campaign with a quarterfinal first leg in Belgium against Anderlecht on Thursday. Because of course I can't move the same as five or 10 years ago, but the older, the more experienced, the more intelligent [you get], you don't waste so much energy on things you don't really need.

The picture is bleaker for their former boss Moyes and Sunderland who have now gone seven top-flight matches without scoring - the joint second worst sequence in Premier League history.

The club return to action with a home match against league leaders Chelsea next weekend.

Moyes' overall thoughts: "I'm disappointed we haven't take anything from the game and I think there was mitigating circumstances for that, but ultimately we're not here to blame referees".

Coincidentally, a minute from the end Marcus Rashford fired in a third to round off the win for the Red Devils. "We reacted to the results of yesterday because Man City and Liverpool won and it left us in a position of 'yes or no?' and it was a yes", he added. "Zlatan did that and after that the team could play better". The Premier League we cannot win, but Europa League we can.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan also on target early in the second half as United extended their unbeaten run to 21 games in the top flight. We know we go to Brussels for the Europa League and it is more hard for us but we keep fighting. I want us fighting for trophies. It was very important to score the second one because the game was not over and then they had a little bit of control in the second half.
