No changes; George HW Bush still in Houston hospital

"No father has ever been more blessed, or prouder", Bush, 92, captioned the father-son picture.

"Big morale boost from a high level delegation", the elder Bush captioned a photo with George W. Bush has been hospitalized in Houston since last Friday, Aprul 14, 2017, with a recurrence of a case of pneumonia he had earlier in the year.

A spokesman for former President George H.W. Bush says the nation's 41st president remains under observation at a Houston hospital after recovering from "a mild case of pneumonia".

Bush, 92, the oldest living former USA president, has been hospitalized several times in recent years for a variety of problems. Physicians say the illness was treated and has been resolved.

In February, Bush and wife Barbara, who was also hospitalized in January, took part in the pregame coin toss at the Super Bowl at NRG Stadium.

A source close to Bush said he will probably be kept at the hospital for several more days for medical observation.

A spokesperson for the Bush family said on Wednesday that Bush "continues to gain strength" and is looking forward to being released next week.

Bush served in the White House from 1981 to 1993 - first as Ronald Reagan's vice president, and then for a single term as president. His son served from 2001 to 2009.
