Patriots to visit White House Wednesday

People know how I feel about it.

It's not uncommon for just a few representatives from Super Bowl championship teams to make the ceremonial trip to the White House.

"I am so happy and excited that our team is being honored at the White House today", Brady said in a statement. He announced Wednesday morning that he would miss it because of "personal family matters".

In the Times' story in print, which included just one photo, Patriots spokesman Stacey James said the reason fewer players showed up Wednesday than the 50 at the 2015 celebration was because numerous veteran players didn't see a reason to attend the second event in three years.

The star quarterback Tom Brady is skipping the first day of New England Patriots' voluntary offseason workouts, and the valuable chemistry built during this time that can never be replaced is clearly in peril. The team has not officially commented on this development.

Mr Spicer, who was clearly in shock at the National Football League star's sudden appearance, responded with: "I think I got this, but thank you".

According to Brady, he is unable to attend the ceremony due to some personal family matters, and if they're invited to visit the South Lawn again, he will certainly attend.

After all it may be understandable if the Patriots have not come to the fact that they won the Super Bowl this season.

Trump's welcome to the team came hours after the news from MA prisons officials that ex-Patriot tight end Aaron Hernandez hanged himself in his prison cell.

The 27-year-old Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the 2013 shooting death of a friend.

After the triumphant victory, tight end Martellus Bennett quickly made it clear he was not coming to the White House and other teammates followed.

Kraft compared the Patriots' victory to Trump's win in the November 2016 election and handed him a jersey with number 45 on it representing the 45th president of the United States. "I talked to my wife, and she said I can't talk about politics anymore.I think that's a good decision, maybe for our family", he said. Two players were brought to speak to reporters after the White House ceremony, but both said they had not known Hernandez.
