Rashford scores winner but Man United suffer Ibrahimovic blow

The FC crew weigh the potential impact on Man United if Zlatan Ibrahimovic misses an extended period of time.

Rojo's injury comes at a time when United already have Phil Jones (foot) and Chris Smalling (knee) sidelined.

The Manchester United legend said on BT Sport after the game: "You have to remember it's the Europa League not the Champions League, where you are playing proper teams the likes of the Juventus', Real Madrids or Barcelonas".

Rashford sent United into the last four with an extra-time strike in a breathless encounter with Anderlecht.

Manchester United and Anderlecht drew 1-1 for a second straight leg, going to the added time level on aggregate and away goals.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's 10th minute opener, assisted by Rashford, gave United the lead their had deserved for their early dominance.

"We have Daley Blind, who has experience in the position, and I think it is time for Jones and Smalling to be courageous - to risk", he said. If it was me, it [returning from injury] would be tomorrow, ' Mourinho said after the win.

"At 1-1 you are at risk".

"You speak about his qualities and they are fantastic".

"On top of that, I think you are trying to take him for the Euro Under-21s".

"That's why Marcus Rashford, even without being since September with a goal in the Premier League, even without that, he was always a player that I trust, always a player that I play, always a player that I support". With his future still up in the air, and other clubs looking to pony up major money in order to procure his services, this might be the final time we see him in the red kit. "We have great examples of fighters, of people with the right mentality".

Rojo had been substituted in the first half after he tried to play on with an injury to his left leg before compounding the problem as he came across to challenge Frank Acheampong in the 22 minute.

But Rashford was undeterred. "At the end of the second half we started pushing as a team and pinned them back".

'First of all, if you don't concede, you go through, and that's important for us to know.

Yet they could not score, and as they endeavoured one last opportunity, Ibrahimovic injured his leg; immediately afterwards, the whistle went for the end of normal time, and the end of a thrashing, pumping, thrilling half of football.
