Chris Pratt teases

At a press junket for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", which Pratt is also part of, he was asked by Screen Rant about "Jurassic World 2".

"Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt has recently teased fans that the film's sequel will be a darker and scarier compared to its predecessor. If you haven't seen The Impossible or A Monster Calls, I mean he's really visually masterful.

Explaining further, the Parks & Recreation alum said viewers can expect "deep emotions and suspense" in the science fiction film. (They're also penning IX together.) Bryce Dallas Howard will return to fight-flirt with Pratt and help earn the gang presumably even more than the $1.7 billion the first go-round got.

Speculations based on leaked plot details reveal that the story will now feature weaponized and government-controlled dinosaurs - which is something new indeed for the franchise.

Pratt will reprise his role as Owen Grady, a researcher and velociraptor trainer, in "Jurassic World 2".

The sequel has added Toby Jones, Justice Smith, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine, Daniella Pineda, Geraldine Chaplin, and James Cromwell.

Meanwhile, executive producer Colin Trevorrow shared a behind-the-scene photo of Jurassic World 2 with his Twitter followers and it features dinosaur eggs.

The original Jurassic World was a monster hit at the box office, and was generally well-liked among fans.

The film is set to be released on June 22, 2018.
