Uh oh! Samsung Galaxy S8 is handsome, until you accidentally drop it

Some users report seeing a red tint on their screens which, according to Samsung, isn't a hardware defect and can be repaired with a new software tool.

Samsung-the world's largest maker of smartphones- has pinned its hopes on the Galaxy S8 to compete against archrival Apple's iPhone after last year's Note 7 disaster. Considering this is just a projection, don't expect to see that exact numbers when the time comes, but if the info is at least semi-accurate, we might see similar numbers become a reality.

Only those pads released along with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus work with the phone.

To check the veracity of the reddish tint issue, Consumer Reports tested eight Galaxy S8 devices and found that out of eight devices, four Galaxy S8 had slightly reddish tint.

In the past, we have received feedback that consumers wanted the ability to customize the color setting of their Galaxy devices due to natural variations in displays, and we provided the option to do so in previous software updates.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be fully unveiled on Friday, April 28 in the United Kingdom and Europe. After a lot of consumers refused to give back the Note 7 that had reached them, the company even released a software update to disable them.

Now, it seems that the device is suffering from a wireless charging issue. Samsung also says that Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Pre-orders are their best ever.

Samsung today announced it will push two software updates to its Galaxy S8 smartphone to resolve issues with screen tint and WiFi connectivity. "While the almost all-glass design of the S8 makes it a lovely phone, it's extremely susceptible to cracking when dropped from any angle".

After receiving a record-breaking response in its home market of South Korea, it looks like the Galaxy S8 has set a new sales record globally as well.
