Arsenal vs Manchester United, Premier League

Marcus Rashford's free-kick gave Man Utd control of their Europa semi-final tie with Celta Vigo as they continue to fight for Champions League football on two fronts.

"In the last match at Old Trafford we shook hands before and after the game and I remember that I met him in the corridor ahead of the press conferences, we shook hands again".

A fixture that once enjoyed the cachet of a heavyweight title fight - and often resembled one on the pitch as England's preeminent teams slugged it out - has been relegated in status with United fifth and Arsenal sixth in the Premier League.

Although they are one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, Mourinho said he was willing to rest players for Sunday's Premier League game at Arsenal in preparation for next Thursday's second leg against Celta. I still believe. We know how hard it is going to be because they have been unbeaten for a lot of the time even though they have drawn a lot of games.

When questioned on whether amicable ground could be found with Mourinho, he said: "I am open always in life for everything, you know, for peace".

"We tried until the end, from the first minute to try and win the match and score goals but we missed chances, but the team was good, strong and compact".

"What people on the outside say is what they will say - and it doesn't matter".

"I think that Arsene is probably the last example of a manager who brings stability to a club over such a long time".

Jose Mourinho has decided that he will rest certain players for this weekend's clash with Arsenal.

Celta keeper Sergio Alvarez had denied United several times but was powerless to stop Rashford's 67th minute strike soaring into the net after the striker had won the free-kick.

Everyone knows that if Jose Mourinho's side win Europe's second tier club competition then they'll qualify for the Champions League next season but their league position makes everything a little more questionable. "Celta wants it and we want it".

"Sunday plays David. We have two fantastic goalkeepers, we have a third goalkeeper that I think will be the best Portuguese goalkeeper of the next generation (Joel Pereira)".

"After that Mourinho has got a lot of experience and he just tells his players: "Game's over, game's finished, 1-0, we're not gonna play anymore football tonight". "I do not want to make a case of any person, it's important I focus on my own team".
