Met Gala 2017: The most OUTRAGEOUS looks and fashion fails

Rihanna who's become a dream with each MET Gala look stepped out on the red carpet with the theme (Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between) in mind.

This should have served as a massive signal: Wear Comme!

It was a return to Met stardom for Rihanna, who in 2015 stunned in a yellow velvet gown with an enormous fur-trimmed yellow and gold train created by Chinese designer Guo Pei.

The shot came in spite of a rumored ban on selfies at the event. Channeling a peasant girl look, Kardashian complemented her full-sleeved white dress with strappy sandals.

Julianne Moore and Jennifer Connelly stopped by the 2017 Met Gala to show off their fashion!

The Met Gala is meant to be a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, but who are we kidding - it's also one of the best nights for scrolling through Twitter. Her sister Kendall Jenner wore a sheer slip that left little to the imagination.

"She paid homage to Rei the way it was intended".

Perry was a co-host for the evening, alongside Pharrell Williams.

From almost naked to extreme layers, the range of eccentricity was vast at the much-anticipated red carpet event of the year.

Outrageous fashion choices, bathroom selfies and backstage kissing made sure that Monday night's Met Gala was talk of the town in showbusiness this weekend.

However, without a doubt her most memorable appearance was in 2001, when she attended the ball on husband Edwin's arm, wearing a stunning silver gown by designer Carolina Herrera. Although from the front the cutout seemed seriously severe, she managed to show off even more when she turned around, flashing her butt in a thong and allowing her bare back to show thanks to the sexy look.
