Publix recalls dip due to possible glass fragments

One of the popular Publix dips is being recalled because of a health risk.

Publix announced its 16 oz.

Publix is recalling some of its store-brand artichoke and spinach dip due to the possibility that the dip could contain small glass fragments. Download the WFMY News 2 App now.

The dip was sold in Publix stores in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.

The UPC number is 000-41415-15961, and the use-by dates are May 16-A1, and May 16- C1. It's found in the refrigerated cases in the deli area.

"We were made aware of potentially impacted product through customer complaints", Brous said.

Publix officials say they have removed all remaining products from store shelves and customers can return any they have purchased to the store for a full refund. Consumers may also contact the Food and Drug Administration at 1-888-SAFEFOOD (1-888-723-3366).
