Fight breaks out on Dallas flight

Passengers were preparing to deplane flight 2530, which had stopped at Hollywood-Burbank Airport before heading to Oakland, when two passengers began to wrestle, according to ABC7.

A brawl broke out on a Southwest Airlines flight Sunday, the latest violence to erupt on a plane in recent days, that ended in flying fists and a pile of passengers.

One witness who shot video of the encounter says a flight attendant did her best to break up the fight. The Burbank Police Department then took Cable into custody under charges of misdemeanor battery. Nowadays, on the airlines you always hear bad things, I think that was a great thing she did for Southwest, trying to protect everybody. "He flings, wrestles the shorter guy down, who fell on top of the lady, who fell on top of the flight attendant. She did a wonderful job, God bless her and I hope she's OK", he told CBS.

It was unclear what sparked the fracas.

Southwest Airlines told CNN that the other man suffered minor injuries but was able to continue traveling to his destination.

The brawl is the latest in a series of disturbances involving United States airliners. A video of the ordeal caught by another passenger has gone viral.

Other horror stories from customers surfaced later involving flights on Delta and American Airlines. Passengers there were angry after Spirit Airlines canceled more than 300 flights nationwide, blaming pilots refusing to come to work, angry over their pay rate.

Deputies arrested three people from NY in the Fort Lauderdale airport, charging them with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and trespassing.
