Mourinho's 'weak and naive' foe Skomina to ref UEL final

United booked their place in the Europa League showpiece in Stockholm later this month with a nervy 1-1 draw at home to Celta Vigo, which secured a 2-1 aggregate success.

Manchester United fans will receive just under 10,000 tickets for the Europa League final, little over a fifth of the Friends Arena capacity. We won the EFL Cup, the Community Shield, until the injuries arrived we fought for the Premier League top four.

So impressive since arriving from Villarreal last summer, the 23-year-old Ivory Coast worldwide was shown a straight red card for raising his hands during a heated end to the 1-1 draw with Celta. The game was emotional until the end for everyone.

"Facundo Roncaglia is not new in these situations, Bailly was probably naive". He accepts that because, especially, he has already played Europa League matches.

The final whistle was blown moments later and Celta's players slumped to the ground, some of them holding their heads in their hands and others in tears.

Whereas Ajax's season finishes tomorrow, United still have three league games to play - beginning with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow - and Mourinho said he would have no qualms about making sure his players are in top shape for the trip to Sweden. "We have three matches in that time". Some kept control in better ways than others.

Mourinho also accepted that the club's season will be judged a failure if they do not beat Ajax in the Europa League final on May 24.

"We have played a lot of games".

"You can not win a semi final easily, or be calm".

Slovenian Damir Skomina will referee the game and that is certainly going to raise the eyebrows of Mourinho after a previous run-in.

"I don't know (the details of) the incident but we have lost a very important player for the final and we don't have many". I don't think the board feels like that because we have worked very hard.

"This season of course I've not played as much as I'd have liked to, but that's the way it's panned out".
