Luke Rockhold Destroys Dana White For Double Standard

Looks like the claws are out again for Luke Rockhold and Dana White.

Former middleweight champ Luke Rockhold recently criticized the organization for the hold-up in the middleweight division that was to incur with Georges St-Pierre's return against champ Michael Bisping and was basically calling for a boycott by the division's top stars. These guys want to sit around...

"You got Rockhold right now, screaming, 'I deserve this, ' - you just got knocked out in the first round", White said. You don't deserve anything.

"The guy just got knocked out in the first round by Michael Bisping, and he thinks he deserves this and he deserves that", White said of Rockhold. It is rare, however, to see him respond to the athletes on Twitter, which he did on Tuesday following Rockhold's comments. But White also took it upon himself to fire back at Rockhold unprompted on Saturday when asked about Demian Maia's potential title shot after UFC 211.

Since Rockhold's initial complaints about the title fight, White has said the UFC is moving on from the Bisping, St-Pierre fight due to St-Pierre's schedule.

Rockhold expressed his displeasure regarding Bisping's bout with St-Pierre on The MMA Hour before the fight was called off. The fight could be viewed as a No. 1 contender bout of sorts, if the Bisping/Romero fight does go ahead. Tell me how did [St-Pierre] earn a middleweight title shot? Of course, having pissed off the boss, he may be waiting a while. On Tuesday, he hit back at Dana on Twitter, citing GSP getting an immediate title shot in a weight class he's never competed in before.

- Luke Rockhold (@LukeRockhold) May 16, 2017@danawhite "You have to earn your way in this company"? Get back in here and earn it. I said we (middleweights) deserver clarity.

Rockhold stated in multiple interviews he felt the fight put his division in a standstill. "We deserve something to fight for", the post read.
