Amanda Nunes Says She Was Provoked Before Mushing Valentina Shevchenko

After my next fight we'll see what happens.

UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes still wants to fight for the featherweight title, as long as it isn't Cris Cyborg that she'd have to challenge. If she didn't touch me, nothing is gonna happen.

"You guys have never seen me do that before", Nunes said. Imagine in that situation, a lot of emotions involved, somebody touches your face.

It wouldn't be too much of a surprise if Garbrandt and Dillashaw was pulled from the event as it emerged last week that the champion is now suffering from a back injury, and even though he's undergoing state-of-the-art stem cell treatment in Germany, there's no guarantees that it will fix his issue, or leave him enough time to properly train for the fight.

"You never know, especially how you feel in that moment and somebody talks so much sh*t about you and touches you, your face". The first time the two met, Nunes took a unanimous decision victory. That was followed by a submission win over then-champion Miesha Tate at UFC 200 and destroying Ronda Rousey with a 48-second TKO at UFC 207 to win and defend the title, respectively. If successful, she still wants a shot at the featherweight belt.

"I'm interested in fighting the girl holding the belt now, de Randamie, because I already beat her", Nunes said. If she looks at my record, she's going see that she lost. It doesn't make any sense. "I beat all the tops in the division before I got the belt". It's not personal for me.

After she defended her belt against Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 in December, Nunes took aim at the newly formed 145-pound division, saying she wanted to challenge the victor of the inaugural title fight between Germaine de Randamie and Holly Holm.
