Cleveland Cavaliers book Eastern Conference play-off final spot

In Washington, Bradley Beal scored 29 points and the Wizards produced 26 unanswered points in the third quarter en route to a 121-102 win over the Boston Celtics in Game Four of their Eastern Conference semi-final play-off series. The Cavs had a bottom-two defense after the All-Star break, and the Pacers scored at will on James and the first-round.

The Cavs won their 11th-straight playoff game and are the first team to have back-to-back sweeps to open the playoffs in consecutive years.

LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers into the Eastern Conference finals.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers swept DeMar DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors 4-0, and rumors have already begun swirling about some of the Raptors' more prominent players futures, including Philadelphia-native Kyle Lowry.

Cleveland had Toronto's number from three-point range, outscoring the Raptors 183-81 from beyond the arc in the series. "He's battle-tested and he came up big".

With LeBron having one of his best postseason runs ever-34.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game with a 66.3% true-shooting percentage-if Cleveland's defensive improvement is here to stay, the Cavs are suddenly much scarier than when the playoffs started.

Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, there won't be a mediocre, good, or really good team waiting for them in the NBA Finals. "Korver is one we take credit for because we fell asleep in the second quarter and he came off too clean in a couple of situations". The Raptors' lead was a 16-point deficit by early in the third quarter.

The Cavaliers now await the victor of the Boston-Washington series, which is now deadlocked at two games apiece.

DeRozan talked about another long summer that awaited himself and his teammates, but it would have been a lot longer had Games 3 and 4 followed the script of 1 and 2.

"We get an opportunity to rest and get back onto the practice court".

Tucker proved his worth in the playoffs, particularly in Game 4 against Cleveland when he forced LeBron James to make six turnovers.

HOUSTON - James Harden scored 28 points and Eric Gordon 22 as Houston rebounded from consecutive losses to beat San Antonio and tie their series 2-2.

Irving had 27 points, including 19 in the second half.

James had nine points in the fourth quarter. What did James shoot, 48 percent from 3 the whole series? And then they bring in (Channing) Frye and (Kyle) Korver. Korver jumped from 5.3 to 10.3, scoring 32 points in the final two games against the Raptors. Irving had nine assists. He's 31 now, and although his game is created to age gracefully, point guards tend to deteriorate quickly as they enter their mid-30s. Forwards Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker, acquired at the trade deadline to beef up Toronto's front line, are free agents. The Cavs beat the Raptors by an average of 16.8 points per game in the series and appeared to pull away at will throughout the four games. I just like the team assist stat because generally getting assists means the team is moving the ball and creating quality shots.
