Fernandinho urges Pep Guardiola to offer Yaya Toure new Manchester City deal

United's pre-season tour of the U.S. also features games against the LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola discusses the influence of Pablo Zabaleta, who's set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season.

It turned Tuesday's final home match of the campaign into a celebration of the popular Argentina global, who has won five major honours having joined City on the eve of Sheikh Mansour's takeover in 2008.

Guardiola can finish no higher than third in this season's Premier League, which will be the lowest final placing of his managerial career. 'It has been nine wonderful years, ' he said. "We can not forget where we have come from".

"He helped build something special and he deserved absolutely everything and the performance was good, but it was a resume of our season". In the League Cup, City was eliminated by its rival Manchester United, led by Jose Mourinho.

"In my situation at a big club", he said on Monday.

'It has been a fantastic time.

"So proud to have been [involved] in probably the most successful period in City's history, so thanks so much". "I am so humbled by that".

The 32-year-old was touched and could not hold back the tears as he addressed the crowd.

The victory lifted them above Liverpool to third in the Premier League with just Sunday's trip to Watford to come.

Manchester City moved back into third place and nearly guaranteed Champions League qualification thanks to a 3-1 home victory against West Bromwich Albion yesterday at the Etihad Stadium.

West Brom got a goal back in the 86th through Hal Robson-Kanu, the only negative for City. "When I see his performances I wonder what we could have been with him all season".

Just get the win, lads.

West Brom are eighth in the table, but have not won in their last seven league matches, although Guardiola is expecting opposite number Tony Pulis to field a team that will make life tough for the home side. Their campaign ends away at Swansea.

"I don't understand how the managers speak for the other clubs", he said in response to Wenger.
