Jose Mourinho hits back at critics after Manchester United beaten by Tottenham

"Of course, we would like to win for Marcos [Rojo] and for Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] because they are injured and we hope it will have a lot of power for their comeback".

Despite this Mourinho reckons the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are looking on with envy towards Old Trafford this campaign due to their potential to win a European trophy.

Jose Mourinho claims that "other clubs finishing in the top four" would like to trade places with Manchester United as they battle for Europa League glory.

Romero will play in the Europa League final against Ajax.

When referring to the Europa League, Mourinho also stated that his team can not play "two big competitions" with "15 players".

"I couldn't be happier with the players we have for the position at the moment".

"I want to give the players the best conditions to try to go to the final". The players that needed to play 90 minutes did it, that was important for them.

"The most important thing for us is there were no injuries and some people were having a proper rest". But if everything goes normal and we have no problems, Sergio plays the final.

"Yes they were today, and against Man City, Swansea and Arsenal, and it'll be the same in the next match against Southampton and the last match against Crystal Palace".

Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of Europe's top stars this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of his second season in charge at the club.

"We know that, but we fight for titles. The two goals are two very bad goals to concede, there was no concentration and no focus, but the team is not used to playing together and playing in different positions". Luck was in United's favour as they are also one step away from making it to the Champions League in the next season. "And we played in a positive way, especially in the second half when we brought a little more quality into the team".
