Liverpool to replace Moreno with Sessegnon

Sessegnon, who turns 17 on Thursday, is now thought to be their primary target with the England under-19 global enjoying a brilliant breakthrough season in the second tier. The English U19 fullback is rated at £10 million and while that is a lot for a 17-year-old, the lad has a lot of potential.

Liverpool are also hopeful of bringing in Southampton's Virgial van Dijk - though they face much stiffer competition for his signature - while Klopp is also looking to move for Hull City's Andrew Robertson after seeing the Tigers relegated from the Premier League.

Said fuelled by the impending clear out of Spaniard Alberto Moreno, the Echo says that Liverpool are in for the 17-year-old Sessegnon who they say "remains Liverpool's top left-back target this summer".

The Reds look likely to take advantage of the fact that Fulham was ejected from the playoff finals by Reading on Tuesday evening.

Fresh from winning the Premier League title in his first season in charge, Antonio Conte will hope to bolster his group this summer to defend their crown and make a real impression on their return to the Champions League.

He has scored seven goals in 30 appearances for Fulham with his first professional contract being activated on July 1.

There are yet to be any concrete reports regarding Liverpool's interest in signing an experienced full-back this summer wich could indicate the Jürgen Klopp will use Milner as his go-to man again next season.

The Independent revealed this week that Liverpool are closing in on Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon, with Klopp determined to strengthen his options at left-back after having to field James Milner in defence throughout the season. There's (arguably) no developmental reason for a 16/17-year old to leave when he's playing regular first-team football.
