Nex Machina Shooter Gets Release Date

Nex Machina, the promising-looking twin-stick shooter from Housemarque and Eugene Jarvis, will launch for PC and PlayStation 4 on 20th June. If you're a PlayStation Plus member, you'll save 20% off the regular $19.99 USD/£15.99 price by pre-ordering.

The game will also be adding a co-op mode, featuring competitive multiplayer modes and leaderboards.

Along with the new footage seen in the trailer, the development team also announced the addition of local co-op, as seen in the video.

This is the day that Housemarque's arcade games will go down in infamy for creating one of the simplest, but the purest action arcade games of our generation.

In the world of Nex Machina, humans have become so dependent on technology that they can not avert their eyes from portable devices anymore. "We can't promise any specific resolutions right now, but that's currently what we're trying to polish and figure out". Indeed, the YouTube channel of "PlayStation Underground" has hosted the developers of Housemarque Studios, who have taken the opportunity to show a full 18 minutes of gameplay of Nex Machina, the company's new project coming later on June 20.
