The Palestine President also condemned terrorism in all forms. He added while Palestine is working on building its institutions, it finds India on the forefront in reconstruction of the country.

Last night, while addressing an event at India Islamic Cultural Centre in New Delhi, President Abbas had said that India is a major player in worldwide affairs and Palestine is looking forward for its continued support.

Modi and Abbas are scheduled to hold bilateral discussions on Tuesday.

Modi also said that both India and Palestine will work toward developing the economy of the war-torn country and usher in better lives for the people there.

Abbas, as quoted by al-Hayat al-Jadida, said he will spare no effort to ensure the release of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.

Before Trump's trip to Israel and the West Bank, he will visit Saudi Arabia, where he and Saudi leaders will sign several agreements "that will solidify US-Saudi security and economic cooperation", said McMaster. Abbas visited the C-DAC centre in Noida on Monday, taking advantage of India's offer to help build a techno-park in Ramallah.

He said that Palestine was ready to make peace and hoped for a response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
