Trump allies come up with the wrong response to the Comey bombshell

Donald Trump Jr.'s reaction is the first public indication from his family about the news that the president asked Comey to drop the FBI's probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, according to notes written by Comey following a February meeting with the president.

In a short statement issued by the White House on Wednesday (May 17), Trump maintained that his campaign did not collaborate with "any foreign entity".

Ousted FBI director James Comey "was insane", President Trump told Russian officials this month, adding that firing him had lifted a "great pressure", according to a written summary of the Oval Office meeting.

Popular Video SNL is not a fan of the Trump administration, and it shows with every new skit they produce.

Putin on Wednesday also slammed critics who spread allegations about Trump's ties with Russian Federation.

"And I'm sure we're going to want to hear from Mr. Comey about why, if this happened as he allegedly describes, why he didn't take action at the time", he continued. "I hope you can let this go". "But I still need to speak with him...evidently has a new #", Rep. Jason Chaffetz said on Twitter. Another wrinkle in this disaster comes via McClatchy, who reports that in the early months of Trump's presidency, Flynn's priorities were already influenced by his secret lobbying work for Turkey. "Reporters are protected by judges and juries, by a congress that relies on them to stay informed, and by a Justice Department that for decades has honored the role of a free press by spurning prosecutions of journalists for publishing leaks of classified information". We can not have this constant chaos and serious questions being raised virtually every single day.

Also on Thursday afternoon, Mr Rosenstein went to Capitol Hill and indicated to the full Senate that the White House's initial account of Mr Comey's firing was not accurate because he said he knew that Mr Comey would be fired before he wrote a controversial memo that the White House initially used as its justification for the dismissal.

Ten days before the inauguration, Flynn had a conversation with Susan Rice, former national security adviser for President Barack Obama, about the Pentagon's plan to retake Raqqa, the capital of the Islamic state.
