Cavs run riot over Celtics in National Basketball Association mismatch

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers' 130-86 destruction of the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday at TD Garden, LeBron James discussed not being included among this year's finalists for the NBA's Most Valuable Player.

Instead, they've chosen to go with Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Kawhi Leonard, who will compete for the coveted award on June 26 during the inaugural NBA Awards. The winners will be announced on June 26 in NY during the NBA's first awards show.

So, what does he think? I know what I bring to the table. The league knows what I bring to the table. Nearly as insane as, you know, that guy down in OKC averaging a triple-double.

In winning his second scoring title in three seasons, the 6-3 guard paced the National Basketball Association in games with at least 20 points (72), 30 points (44), 40 points (18) and 50 points (four).

The Cavs have won 10 straight games in this playoff run and 13 in a row if you count last year's NBA Finals.

The NBA's remaining 2016-17 award winners will be revealed during the inaugural NBA Awards on TNT, which will be hosted by platinum-selling recording artist and multifaceted entertainer Drake on Monday, June 26 (9 p.m. ET) at Basketball City in NY.

For the eighth straight playoff game, James scored at least 30 points. "But to me, LeBron is the MVP, just like Shaq, you can give it to him every year if you wanted to".

Davis was named to the All-NBA First Team for the second time in his career (2015) and Wall was tabbed to the All-NBA Third Team for the first time.

First, Avery Bradley made the game-winner with 0.1 left on the clock.

According to the site, this is the first time in almost a decade that the All-Star athlete ended fourth in the NBA MVP voting. "As well as we played tonight, we've got a couple of things we can do better". We have eyes. History will remember him as the greatest...especially if he continues to win. Do you really need any more evidence that LeBron wasn't the MVP?

For the fans who like to measure Michael Jordan by his six championship rings, don't forget, he got those Larry O'Brien trophies by dominating the Finals, and has six Finals' MVP Awards to go along with it.

In the last eight seasons, James has won the prestigious honor four times, which ties him for third-most all-time in league history with Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain. Love posted 21 points with 12 rebounds in just 27 minutes of action.

In Game 2, we could talk about how Boston had no answer for the LeBron at center lineups, or how Cleveland's passing was crisp while Boston was slow to recover, or a host of other things, but the real issue for Boston is they just cannot find a way to score on a suddenly-focused Cavaliers defense. Green made his first two shots - both 3-pointers - but finished with six points. Leonard was sixth in defensive win shares (4.7) and averaged 1.8 steals and 3.4 deflections per game.

Could you imagine social media then after Jordan shot 32.5 percent from the field in the first three games on nearly 26 shots again?
