Trump on Manchester bombing: the terrorists are "evil losers"

Trump called people responsible for the attack "evil losers" after expressing his condolences to the families of those hurt and killed in the attack.

Trump declared he would not call the terrorists "monsters", a term he believes they would prefer, instead choosing "losers", a longtime favorite Trump insult. They would think that a great name. I will call them from now on 'losers.' Because that's what they are, they're losers. They're losers. And we'll have more of them.

Trump condemned the Monday night attack after a meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in Jerusalem, which was part of his scheduled overseas trip. "But they're losers just remember that".

In addition to those killed, 59 people are being treated for injuries in eight hospitals after the blast just outside the Manchester Arena, where the concert had just concluded at around 10:30 p.m. local time on Monday. ISIS later claimed responsibility for the attack, describing the perpetrator as a "soldier of the caliphate" who planted bombs "in the middle of Crusaders gatherings". This will easily go down as the worst attack in the history of Manchester, and authorities have confirmed that they are investigating it as a terrorist attack.

Mr Trump pledged America's "absolute solidarity" with the United Kingdom and said the time had come for the "wicked ideology" behind the terror attack to be "completely obliterated".

"Our society can have no tolerance for this continuation of bloodshed". More than a decade ago, Israel built a separation barrier in the West Bank, saying it is a defense against Palestinian militants who carried out deadly attacks.

Police said the attacker detonated the explosives shortly after 10:33 p.m. on Monday, or 4:33 a.m. on Tuesday Western Indonesia Time, at Manchester Arena, as thousands of fans streamed out of a concert by U.S. singer Ariana Grande. "This wicked ideology must be obliterated, and I mean completely obliterated". Life must be protected.
