Apple finally updated the Mac Pro, most powerful Mac ever

Availability on the new iMacs is immediate, at $1,099, $1,299 and $1,799 for the 21.5-inch model, 4K 21.5-inch, and 27-inch 5K base models, respectively. Using the same all-in-one design, Apple called it the "most powerful Mac" they've ever built.

At the WWDC 2017, Apple unveiled the updated iMac models along with the MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iPad Pro models. It also is available in a lovely new space gray color.

Apple has refreshed the entire lineup with new displays that are at 500 nits 43 percent brighter than the screens found on the current iMacs. Apple is also working on a completely redesigned next-generation Mac Pro, which is separate from this product. The new versions are fueled by the latest 7th-generation Intel Kaby Lake processor. "With all these high-performance technologies, this iMac Pro is going to be an awesome workstation".

The new iMac Pro is basically a supercharged 27-inch iMac with 5K Retina display that includes an up to 18-core Intel Xeon processor and AMD's upcoming Vega graphics. Featuring a new next-generation compute core and up to 16GB of on-package high-bandwidth memory (HBM2), iMac Pro with the Vega GPU delivers up to an unbelievable 11 Teraflops of single-precision compute power for real-time 3D rendering and immersive, high frame rate VR.

Furthermore, the iMac Pro supports up to a 4TB SSD, up to 128GB of ECC memory, comes with four Thunderbolt 3 ports and can connect up to two RAID setups and two 5K monitors at the same time.

Apple has revealed the iMac Pro, a feature-packed iMac with heavy specifications designed for the enterprise and power users. And for half-precision computation, ideal for machine learning, iMac Pro delivers up to an incredible 22 Teraflops of performance.

The new Apple iMac Pro releases in December and starts at $4,999 United States dollars.
