Ed Sheeran, James Corden in hilarious Carpool Karaoke

Ed Sheeran, James Corden in hilarious Carpool Karaoke

James Corden's Late Late Show, in London Tuesday night, unveiled its latest Carpool Karaoke with Ed Sheeran, though the two Brits shot it previously, in Los Angeles.

Corden's signature late night skit began with the host picking up Sheeran who had left his guitar at his house the previous night.

After picking up Sheeran, Corden started the segment with his number one hit song, 'Shape of You' as the duo cruised around London. Sheeran can hook up with Taylor Swift's girl squad and then brag about it to Rolling Stone when they put him on the cover. Turns out the two singers are pals, and Sheeran recounted a story to Corden about trying to hit a golf ball out of Bieber's mouth but whacking him in the head instead.

Ed Sheeran has appeared in an episode of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.

At one point, James also challenges Ed to fit as many chocolate candies in his mouth as possible - and the results are pretty hilarious.

Corden also asked Sheeran what life was like walking around Hollywood phone-less and internet-less.

"I'd wake up every morning and there'd be like 50 messages, and none of them would say "hey how are you", he said. After finishing up the sexy song, Ed Sheeran confirmed he's still on his no phone/no internet kick although he can be reached by email. "And I was like, "Focus, focus focus". Joined by host James Corden, Sheeran sang some of his biggest hits before covering songs by Justin Bieber and One Direction.

"He was actually really cool about it, surprisingly", he added.

The singer said that it took him going travelling, getting rid of his phone, and writing his latest album for him to find happiness and peace again. "You can't hit him!'" Although a heavily-intoxicated Ed willed himself to concentrate on hitting the object and not his pal, he failed, and has admitted he "cracked" Justin across the face when he swung for the small piece of sporting equipment. I was quite an unfortunate kid.
