Taylor Swift music returning to Spotify

The Roar star released her new album Witness at the same time and Katy's fans soon flooded Twitter to take aim at petty Taylor.

Perhaps most importantly (intimations of dueling pop queen pettiness notwithstanding and not worth repeating), Swift hasn't released a record in some time.

Pop star Taylor Swift is returning the entire back catalog of her music to the masses by streaming all her songs on all platforms again. Spotify said in a statement: "We can confirm that Taylor Swift's entire back catalogue is now available on Spotify for her millions of fans to enjoy".

Friday is the first day that Taylor Swift's music catalog is available on Spotify after the singer pulled her music from the streaming service in 2014. "ALL SHADE (sic)", a user contributed, and another added, "Taylor Swift putting her entire discography on Spotify the same night Katy Perry drops a new album is next level pettiness & I am all for it".

MANILA, Philippines - Taylor Swift is getting back together with a few of her famous exes, including Spotify and Pandora. (Mariah Carey's iconic habit of refusing to admit she knows Jennifer Lopez, this is not.) Katy didn't stay silent, though, and now here we are, struggling to get excited about an album that has been overshadowed by its own press cycle. The album included the song "Bad Blood", which is widely interpreted to be about her feud with Perry. And that's potentially shady because the two don't see eye to eye, with Perry telling James Corden during his talk show (see below) that there was "a situation" between the two singers. Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [their respective fan groups].

Coincidentally (or not), Katy Perry's latest album, Witness, will be released at the same time. The downtime means she's largely been absent from the mainstream conversation outside of precisely tailored Instagram posts, most of which are screenshots of her using.
