Apple's new iPad Pro models outperform MacBook Pro, benchmarks reveal

This laptop-tablet hybrid has two lenses like the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. It is not another powerful laptop that surpassed the Mackbook machines, it is a tablet.

Speaking of camera technology, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro boasts of a 12-megapixel back camera and a 7-megapixel front camera.

We've pitted the two devices against each other to see how they stack up, taking a number of major aspects into account. This is why the folks at iFixit performed a teardown of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro to reveal what lies inside the device, and to also determine the device's repairability. There is also a refreshed 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

If you are very particular with the specs of the device you are getting, then you should know that the new iPad Pro and new Surface Pro installments vary greatly in this area. It does feel faster when drawing on a 10.5inch tablet thanks to the display refreshing twice as fast.

The 2017 Surface Pro, meanwhile, features a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 pixels, which translates to a pixel density of 267 ppi. The tablet should last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. For processing power, you get to choose from a range of options between an Intel Kaby Lake Core m3 2.70 GHz processor to a Core i7 4 GHz CPU. In 2016, it brought the Smart Connector to its 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

Apple has added, for the first time, a 10.5-inch size to the iPad lineup. Am I right? This time though, for the non-illustrators, iPad Pro might not be that charming.

Both tablets have attachable keyboard options that allow them to turn into laptops, but the accessories are available separately.

As of today, Apple's latest iPad Pro is out in stores and some owners out there are already checking them out. The Apple Pencil is also useful in marking up emails and signing documents.

But Apple wouldn't have delivered all that if it wasn't "following" the Surface Pro, Microsoft claims. Most important, keyboard typing is not comfortable, and some tasks are better done with a mouse than with a touch screen. This simply mean that the operating system or iOS of the iPad Pro is still trailing behind Apple's macOS on the MacBook Pro.

"Think about it, if we had been looking at [Apple], we wouldn't have made a product like Surface Pro or Surface Book", the executive went on to say. However, the site believes that the handling of the launch of the Surface might have cost Microsoft. RAM options are 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L. Overall, this is a better size for the smaller iPad Pro, partly because the increased size also gave room for Apple to make a slightly larger version of its physical keyboard, called Smart Keyboard.
