Warriors celebrate NBA crown with street parade

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green appears to be taking some shots at the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The down-on-its-luck city that always seems to take a back seat to San Francisco will get a rare chance to sit back and celebrate itself Thursday in a parade and rally for the hometown Golden State Warriors and their second National Basketball Association championship in three years.

Once the predictions turned out to be right and the Warriors won it all after making quick work of LeBron James and the Cavaliers, the naysayers re-emerged.

At a rally after the parade, Green mocked James' contention that he had never played for a super team.

James teamed up with All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat to win his first championship in 2012. The Warriors have proven that Thompson doesn't need to give up his offense with Durant on the team, but one project for next season will be to explore how Durant's presence can make Thompson's offense even more efficient. If Steph Curry and members of the Golden State Warriors have strong disagreements with President Trump, they should go engage him in debate and discussion, and make their disagreements known to him, and give him an opportunity to react. Following last November's election, Richard Jefferson, of last year's champions, Cleveland Cavaliers, said they' be the last team to visit the White House.

The "super team" lost the championship past year against the Cavaliers when Kevin Durant was not yet in the roster.

When the Golden State Warriors signed Kevin Durant last summer, the National Basketball Association world immediately became intrigued by how he and Stephen Curry could work together. However, for Stephen Curry, who's been consistently criticized for his underwhelming play in the previous two Finals, this second title goes a long way toward shutting up those critics who said he couldn't handle the bright lights of the big stage. When Kevin Durant was announced, chants of "MVP" roared across Lake Merritt - the same happened whenever Curry's name was mentioned. However, despite their recent dominance and talks of whether or not they are a new generation super team, Mills says the Warriors aren't unbeatable. They had the all-time-best postseason record this year with a record of 15-1. We're most likely going to see Golden State vs. Cleveland: Part 4 in the 2018 NBA Finals. He described himself as a Warriors fan since elementary school.

Many of those fans had to line up early in the morning to secure a spot along the route; by 7 a.m., all the spaces close to the street at 20th Street and Broadway had already been taken.

The Warriors look to be favourites to win the title for the next three-to-five years at least, so what does this mean for the rest of the league? The Thunder had a 3-1 lead over Golden State before the Warriors came back to win the series in seven games. Durant has grown into an even more unsafe player with the Warriors, and he's just getting warmed up. One pregnant fan had painted the Warriors' logo on her stomach.

The Warriors made one of the great playoff runs of all time. "Both the Patriots and the Warriors are shaping up to remove the suspense of at least the next season". After ending their year on a high note, the Cavaliers may of expected a chance of a playoff reunion with the Warriors, and it ended up happening.

Oakland is also losing one of its other beloved teams, the Raiders, to Las Vegas, and the city is still reeling from a police scandal and mourning a deadly warehouse fire.

Golden State celebrated their new honorable relic by parading through the city of Oakland, according to ESPN.
