Allegiant announces new flights from STL to Phoenix

Allegiant Air on Tuesday morning announced it is returning to the Coast, with nonstop flights from Gulfport to Orlando and one-way fares as low as $29, beginning August 30.

The new flights were part of a 28-route expansion, "the largest-ever announcement of new service in the company's history".

Triangle fliers will soon be able to fly directly from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and will have another option to travel to Cincinnati.

Flights to Los Angeles International Airport begin November 16 with fares as low as $69. Allegiant says its introductory fares will be available only one way and will not apply to all flights. Allegiant will now serve 19 routes to/from Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

Allegiant describes itself as an airline offering industry-low fares on an all-jet fleet.

"We're thrilled to announce another new, low-priced travel option in Boise", stated Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial.

The new routes include Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Louisville, Omaha, St. Louis/Belleville, Boise and Tampa/St. Pete.
