Bill Cosby's Wife, Publicist Talk Trash Following Mistrial

Bill Cosby's legal team likely has an edge in a retrial. "I'm sorry it's causing everyone frustration".

Jury selection continues for the sexual assault trial of disgraced United States megastar Bill Cosby, accused of plying a woman with pills and wine before assaulting her in 2004.

According to prosecutors, Andrea Constand deserves a verdict in the Bill Cosby sex assault case.

Vanity Fair quoted a police affidavit that said Bill Cosby had developed a friendship with Andrea Constand before he could act upon "that interest" of sexually assaulting her. Cosby apparently behaved like a father figure and advised her on various things in life.

Steele says he will retry the 79-year-old comedian on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

One of Mr Cosby's lawyers, Brian McMonagle, applauded the decision. "The jurors, they used their power to speak". She said she found Cosby at the bottom of the stairs; he gave her a muffin before opening the door and letting her out. On Saturday, they came back and told him they were hopelessly deadlocked.

"As you can only imagine", Allison said, "I've got a lot to praise God for". Television satellite trucks clotted the street in front of the pre-Civil War stone courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania, where Cosby's trial was held.

The case was delivered to the jury Monday afternoon after a brief defense, which didn't include Cosby testifying. The jury, from the Pittsburgh area, has been sequestered for two weeks about 300 miles from home.

The jurors will get back to work Saturday morning. "He sat for 12 hours a day, he went without sleep for most of this trial - I have no doubt it took a big toll on him".

Constand, who worked at Cosby's alma mater, Temple University, is ready to go to trial again. The jury may be looking at Constand and wondering how she remembers what happened the night she claims she was drugged and assaulted, or even why she voluntarily took pills.

Cosby, who has been described as legally blind, has been supported by longtime friends and a few actors, including Keisha Knight Pulliam, who played Cosby's TV daughter, Rudy, on "The Cosby Show", which remained popular as the show continued to be shown as reruns long after the TV series ended in 1992. But Montgomery County Judge Steven O'Neill only allowed one, Kelly Johnson.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand has done. In 2005, prosecutors declined to charge Cosby based on Constand's account, and she filed a lawsuit that Cosby settled for an undisclosed sum.

McMonagle objected in court to the panel's repeated requests to review testimony, saying it suggested some jurors were trying to coerce other jurors in an attempt to bring an end to the deadlock. They repeatedly asked a judge for a mistrial on Friday.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Bill Cosby's publicity team is going on the attack after a jury deadlocked on charges he drugged and molested a woman in a case that followed dozens of similar accusations. Speaking in a calm and unemotional tone, Veronique Valliere, a psychologist, testified that sexual assault victims are frequently so traumatized that they can be confused about details.
