Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered standalone launch all but confirmed?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered standalone launch all but confirmed?

According to images that have recently surfaced online, it looks like we might be getting that standalone retail release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered after all, despite Activision saying to the contrary a year ago.

Having previously leaked details of Call of Duty: WW2 prior to its initial reveal, this is more than likely a legitimate retail copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. Right now, there are conflicting release dates, with some claiming that Activision will shadow drop the standalone later today, while others claim the game will launch on the 27th of June.

However, this leak of the PS4 version of Modern Warfare Remastered might be an indication that, since both games are eight months old, Activision has chose to allow people to buy them separately (especially since most of the backlash against Infinite Warfare has died down).

Some fans were more interested in Modern Warfare Remastered than Infinite Warfare.

We know it's coming; scratch that, everyone knows it's coming.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered standalone must be real. Looks like that is about to change, however. Do you guys think Activision should release Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone game? Hopefully, we'll see it happen, and then traffic for the game will no doubt pick up immensely. Or do you think it's too late?
