Cristiano Ronaldo rumours rubbished by Bayern chief executive Rummenigge

Manchester United to offer £175 and De Gea for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo wants to leave Spain and is interested in the possibility of a return to Manchester United, according to Sky sources, having been angry about the way he has been treated by Spanish tax authorities.

Ronaldo's Portugal team-mate Pepe has been heavily tipped to move to Ligue 1 giants PSG already this summer as the defender prepares to leave Real Madrid this summer. I have made a decision.

United have been strongly linked with a move for their former forward, but Perez is not thinking about the possibility of Real losing their talisman.

Barcelona were also targeted by press leaks surrounding the possible departure of Lionel Messi a year ago when he was in the crosshairs of tax authorities.

Since extending his contract in November until 2021, Ronaldo is according to Forbes the highest paid sports star in the world with $93 million (83m euro) in 2016-2017.

"We are accustomed to intensive speculation on possible arrivals and departures during the transfer period", wrote Rummenigge in the statement.

We've taken a look at the latest rumours and put together a potential starting XI for next season if they manage to secure all of their rumoured targets and pull off the swap deal.

Perez's opponents have criticised reforms in the club statutes which have toughened criteria for aspiring candidates.

The alterations mean anyone aspiring to be president has to have been a member of Real for at least 20 years, compared to the old requirement of 10 years, and have a personal guarantee of over 75 million euros from a Spanish bank.

Perez's current stint at the helm is actually his second, with the Spaniard having overseen the arrival of numerous Bernabeu side's famed Galacticos between 2000 and 2006. The club - which also won La Liga last season - lead the way in the elite European competition with 12 trophies.
