Cristiano Ronaldo wants to return to Manchester United

We have not had an offer for Cristiano... the Sheikh at PSG is a friend of mine and he hasn't called me nor have we talked.

He said that Ronaldo had clearly done nothing wrong and Perez was appalled that the "presumption of innocence is not respected" by the media who have branded the played a delinquent. This is all very odd.

'I know him and he's a top professional and person and all this is very unusual, ' Perez said. "He's a very good person", he said.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, accused of evading 14.7 million euros ($16.5 million) in tax, has been summoned to appear before a judge in Spain, judicial sources told AFP on Tuesday. "We've not received offers for him (Ronaldo), Morata or James".

There has been speculation that Ronaldo is trying to put pressure on Real so that they will bear some of the burden of an eventual fine for tax evasion as Barcelona did for Lionel Messi. I'm sure that Cristiano meets all his tax requirements; it must be a confusion that will be cleared up. "All we know is that he's unhappy with the treatment he has had from the press, who have claimed that he is a tax cheat".

"I believe everyone must comply with their tax obligations and I know that Cristiano always does things the right way", Perez added.

The French manager had told Ronaldo that Real Madrid team needs him and his winning mentality to guide the club to many more victories.

Speculation is rife that the Portugal worldwide could return to Manchester United, where he spent six years before leaving in a then-world record £80m deal to Madrid in 2009.

Perez found out about Ronaldo's anger through the front cover of Portuguese newspaper A Bola, but has not spoken to him since his man-of-the-match display in the Champions League final win against Juventus.
