Hernandez hits home run off Miller, Dodgers beat Indians 6-4

The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder blasted a two-run home run to center field in the top of the second inning against the Cleveland Indians, and once he had rounded the bases, he appeared to flip off someone in the Progressive Field stands.

As Puig headed to the Dodgers' dugout, cameras caught Puig flipping the middle finger of each hand to fans who allegedly had been heckling him.

Indians relief ace Andrew Miller gave up a tiebreaking home run for the second straight night - a solo shot to pinch-hitter Kike Hernandez in the eighth inning - and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Tribe, 6-4, on June 14.

"People were talking to me before the home run, and after the home run, they kept talking", Puig said, per the LA Times.

"Tonight was not a great night for me", Kershaw said.

Trailing 2-0, the Indians got a run back in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Michael Brantley, and Cleveland tied it in the seventh, on the home run by Ramirez off Fields.

Cleveland starter Trevor Bauer pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits, with five strikeouts and three walks.

Puig's homer Tuesday was the 10th of the season, as the 2014 all-star attempts to bounce back from a disappointing pair of seasons that saw him deal with injuries, struggle at the plate, get sent to the minors and earn a reputation as something of a head case.

"I'd be lying to you if I said that we weren't frustrated with the way we've played and obviously our record shows that", Kluber said. It was Robertson's first major-league home run and set up a one-out save for Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen. "I reacted that way, and stooped to their level".

Trying to keep Cleveland at bay early in the series finale is Rich Hill, who faces an American League team for the first time since getting traded last August 1 from the Athletics to the Dodgers.

Bellinger got a lot of advice from teammates before the game about facing Miller.

"Obviously, I didn't do my part", he said.

"He's one of the best relievers in the game and is super deceptive", Bellinger said. It was just a pretty poor at-bat. He is sidelined indefinitely.

For Tomlin, all that strike-throwing has not translated into a successful season.

RHP Corey Kluber (5-2, 4.38) is a ideal 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two starts this month, proving his full recovery from a lower back strain in early May.
