Patty Jenkins Still Not Signed On For Wonder Woman Sequel

"Then I realized that Wonder Woman 2 is its own great movie". Her domestic cume now stands at $115M. "Wonder Woman" opening weekend has definitely proven that a sequel could be another hit for the female-led franchise.

"Any ridiculous notion that a woman may not be suited to direct a big budget superhero movie is hopefully once and for all shattered", he said. The actress posted a video to Facebook on Wednesday (June 7) thanking fans for making Wonder Woman the sensation that it is. In the end, bolstered by rapturous reviews, the film opened to over $100 million, meaning that Jenkins now has a tremendous amount of leverage when it comes to negotiating a pay raise.

He continued, "There are men in the world and women in the world, it will be nice for young girls and boys to see an image of something else, besides a man in a cape", referring to male superheroes such as Batman and Superman.

Given the film's incredible success - with critics, with fans, with just about everyone - it seems all but guaranteed that Jenkins will return for the sequel. Jenkins was only signed for one film, but that means if Jenkins' representatives wanted, they could force Warner Bros.to pay millions of dollars more to keep her on board.
