Real president Perez 'not contemplating' Ronaldo departure

Unhappy Ronaldo has been linked to Manchester United and other top clubs after reportedly threatening to leave Real and quit Spain after running into problems with tax authorities. I know Cristiano; he's a great guy and a professional.

The 32-year-old is now away with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, where he has so far evaded questions over his future - including skipping the traditional man-of-the-match press conference after Sunday's draw with Mexico. I'm sure that Cristiano meets all his tax requirements; it must be a confusion that will be cleared up. Perez insists Ronaldo will not be leaving Real this summer, contrary to reports. I'll talk to him and he'll have to tell me.

Real Madrid turned down the opportunity to sign goalkeeper David de Gea from Manchester United last summer, club president Florentino Perez said on Tuesday while playing down the possibility of bidding for the Spain worldwide again.

"If they are good, Real Madrid will take an interest at the right time".

Kylian Mbappe and Gianluigi Donnarumma are targets for Real Madrid, according to president Florentino Perez, who dismissed a move for Manchester United's David de Gea.

Asked if Mourinho expected Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford, the club insider said: "No. Ronaldo wants only money from Real, nothing more".

'I have not spoken to him since Cardiff.

It is understood, however, any outlay on Ronaldo would not include the image rights the 31-year-old sold to Singaporean businessman Peter Lim, who owns La Liga club Valencia, back in 2015.

"I haven't learned very much about the situation, he's at a very important tournament at the moment in the Confederations Cup and until that ends I'm not going to disturb the atmosphere of his team", added Perez.

"To this day, nobody has offered us anything for any player and we have not made any offer. And I'm not contemplating that, especially without speaking with him".
