Real President yet to speak to Ronaldo about future

"Not I nor anyone at Madrid is contemplating that Cristiano could leave the club".

Spanish prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against the player accusing him of defrauding tax authorities of 14.7 million euros ($16.5 million) by hiding his image rights income between 2011 and 2014.

Meanwhile, Perez hinted his club may make a move to sign Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappé this summer, as he suggested "all the best players come to Real Madrid".

Florentino Perez has stressed Cristiano Ronaldo will only leave Real Madrid if a club matches his €1billion buyout clause and has slammed those who have called the Portugal global "a delinquent" following his tax issues.

Those allegations were denied in a statement by Ronaldo's management company Gestifute, while Real Madrid say they have "full confidence" in a player who "will prove his total innocence in this process".

It will be the third term for the 70-year-old construction magnate who has spent 15 years at the helm of Europe's most successful club - 2000-2006 and since 2009.

"Something very odd will have to happen for him to go".

According to Spanish sports daily Marca, Ronaldo told his teammates: "I'm leaving Real".

Having secured re-election as Real Madrid president on Monday, Florentino Perez appeared on Spanish radio and discussed a wide range of topics.

The 32-year-old was named man of the match but did not attend the post-match press conference as required, perhaps wary of the questions that would follow.

Perez assured the fans that the Portugal worldwide would be honouring his contract with Real Madrid while insisting that he would contact the star striker only after the conclusion of Portugal's Confederations Cup campaign. "I love Keylor Navas and the truth is that, back in 2015, I didn't know him as I do now".

"The team continue to believe in qualification, we have great possibilities, because there are still two games left".

IBTimes UK earlier revealed that Ronaldo wants to leave Real and he has already informed the club of his decision. "When the Confederations Cup finishes [on July 2], we will deal with the issue".

"We weren't on the edge of signing him, because of his age".

"He is a Real Madrid player and will remain so".

Among the clubs reported to be interested in Ronaldo is former team Manchester United for a fee which could hit 200 million euros, with a possible get-out clause of €1 billion.
