Cowboys Linebacker Damien Wilson Arrested for Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon

Former Gophers linebacker Damien Wilson was arrested an two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Tuesday, the Frisco, Texas, police department confirmed Wednesday to the Pioneer Press.

After being booked into the Frisco detention center, Wilson was released on $10,000 bail for each of two counts.

The Dallas Cowboys have gotten that call.

The one thing National Football League coaches and front-office types fear during the extended offseason layoff between the end of spring camps and the beginning of training camp is a late-night phone call about one of their players. The mug shot of Wilson is below.

Frisco police are still investigation and are not releasing any more information in the incident, Chandler said.

His most recent comment on Twitter was posted at about 5 p.m., three hours before his arrest, when he posted, "When your words get you in trouble".

Wilson was arrested at Toyota Stadium, where MLS Soccer team FC Dallas plays.

Wilson has played in all 16 regular season games in each of his first two seasons with the Cowboys, making five starts for the team in 2016.

The Cowboys selected Wilson from the University of Minnesota in the fourth round of the 2015 draft.
