Is PlatinumGames Teasing The Wonderful 101 For Switch?

With the release of the Wii, Nintendo introduced games like Wii Sports that took advantage of the console's features, like its motion controllers.

If you've been waiting for Nintendo's library of old games to pop up on your Switch, good news.

Other Wii U exclusives have already been announced as coming to Switch in revamped editions.

Platinum Games Teases The Wonderful 101 on Nintendo Switch
Platinum tweet hints at Wonderful 101 Switch release

First tweeted by the Japanese PlantinumGames account and then re-tweeted by the official english account. The developer began with teasing PC ports of Bayonetta and Vanquish that came to fruition. Now a new teaser image points towards a Switch port of The Wonderful 101. A new piece of art based on the Bayonetta games used a red and blue color scheme, which some followers thought was a reference to the neon Nintendo Switch Joy-Con set.

For those unfamiliar with The Wonderful 101 - which, given the game's reported sales numbers, may be quite a few of you - think of it as an anime superhero story by way of Pikmin. Unfortunately, that's about the most relatable way to convey the game's downright freaky mix of strategy, action, and storytelling. Indeed, the game is most notable for being one of those titles that you really just have to experience in order to fully appreciate.

Well, there's now a decent crop of Switch games on the shelves, with several titles that are certainly worth your time - from the speedy Fast RMX to the addictively simple Snipperclips.
