Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Champion's Balled DLC detailed

Likely the biggest piece of information he revealed was that Link will still be the playable character in The Champion's Ballad.

Brand new footage for the upcoming story DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been released as well as some more details about the story.

Prior to today's confirmation, many had suspected that DLC 2 - or Champion's Ballad, as it's officially known - would replace Hyrule's hero with a different protagonist, with Princess Zelda out in front as the favorite. The Champions' Ballad is the last Breath of the Wild expansion-or at least it's the last one Nintendo's revealed so far.

Nintendo has said the Champion's Ballad DLC will add "new challenges that will let players enjoy a new dungeon and a new original story".

The brief, seemingly random, couple of scenes shows Zelda and her guards near the Rito's city and in a meeting with the Gerudo in the desert.

Apparently you'll learn more about Zelda along the way, but fans have noticed that the shrine Zelda passes has already been activated.

Along with the footage, Nintendo of Europe also shared a few new details regarding the DLC and what to expect. So we wouldn't take that theory as confirmed. That's not much to go on we realise, although Nintendo did confirm that lobster shirt from Wind Waker will be making a triumphant return.
