While Desai lost in the third round of the girls' singles to top seed Kayla Day of the U.S. 4-6 4-6; the pair of Mahak Jain and Mihika Yadav lost in the first round of the girls' doubles.

Defending champions Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen joined Jamie Murray and Martina Hingis in the semi finals yesterday.

India's Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski entered the quarterfinals in mixed doubles category of Wimbledon after beating Croatian pair Nikola Mektic-Ana Konjuh 7-6 (5), 6-2 in one hour and three minutes on Thursday.

Also in action, the No.2 seeds Elena Vesnina and Bruno Soares are through to the semifinals after a grueling battle against No.15 seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Michael Venus, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2. We've still got to do two matches.

If he does face Watson, Murray will certainly be used to taking on home opposition, with he and Hingis having knocked out Skupski's brother Neal and Anna Smith in round two.
